I see.

In my opinion, the unmoddable version of Morrowind for the Xbox really sucks, so rather than spending money on Live unless you already have it, you should just get Oblivion.

It was still amazing, I played it since it came out, and right through until I got it for PC (a few months before Oblivion was released). Also Silver xbox live is free, but you can't play online against other people. You need a gold (paid) account to do that, 2 months works out at about 80p a week.

I like both morrowind and oblivion in different ways, I think oblivion has better graphics (obviously) and I think much better gameplay and a better land, although morrowind is much longer and more addictive.

I had a chance to buy Morrowind when I was in Scotland, but I chose to rather buy Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction expansion set and Silent Hunter III. Was that a bad decision? (I don't think so, I LOVE Diablo, and I bought SHIII for my brother.)

Diablo 2 isn't fun anymore, unless you haven't played it before. And well, Silent Hunter is that submarine sim, right? Well, I haven't played that one, but IIRC GameSpot rated it good. How much did you pay?

The only gameplay that Oblivion wins in is combat.

I hate Oblivions combat.

Oblivion's combat is not an RPG! It's combat is that of an FPS. Stats are useless dammit! Health and Magicka are the only stats in the whole game that actually count for anything Sad

Morrowind is an RPG with FPS elements.
Oblivion is an FPS masquerading as an RPG.

I prefer RPG's Smile

About the only thing I have to complain about Morrowind is the UI and the graphics. I'm a neat freak, and Oblivion has the interface done right (in my eyes). And I like my eye candy.
